I am looking to delve into audiophile land and need some direction.  I what to lay down about a 1000 bucks to upgrade my not so harmonious system. Tell me what I should spend it on and what components I should chuck out as a first "move".

I love listening to vinyl. do you have any recommendations  or sound advice?
