Im in the upgrade mode again. My system is currently
Marantz TT15
Playstation 1
Pioneer Elite DVD
NAD 162/272
Dynaudio Focus 220
This is generally good but im looking to move up all around, the first step is a PS audio phono amp, then id like to go to server based unit for all my digital needs, eliminating my playstation and pioneer. I was thinking of a laptop with a dedicated PS audio DAC. The thing is id like to be able to store and play
CD's
DVD's
SACD's
DVD-A's ( least critical)
I want to playback all these in two channel, is there a way i can store these on a laptop and play them back via the DAC.
The last part of this is that id liek a method of riping my vinyl to digital so i can ultimately use it on IPod.
Any ideas on if all this can be done on a single PC and what type of readers/software would i need ?
