I have an Audio Research LS26 preamp, and there is a 12V "trigger" output on it for controlling the power amp.

I have searched the owner's manual, the ARCDB database, and called a tech at Audio research, and no one can tell me what kind of plug is required for that jack. It appears to be a spring-loaded "phone" type plug, but the damn things come in about 4 metric and inch sizes, and I really don't want to guess at the size and have it short out the contacts.

So; who knows what size and type the damn thing is?

(the power amp end is no problem; there is a different type of connector at that end which the manufacturer supplied. It would have been nice if Audio Research had been considerate enough to do the same!!
