Question for you sub guru's
I have a 12 by 14 den that is half used as a working office and half as my relaxing room (interpreted as music and reading). Question: Can a sub be placed behind one of the speakers quite close to the wall. If it measured no more than 12 by 16 I could just manage it. The desk, file cabinet,bookshelves, a 30 inch T.V , entertainment center, and tw9o chairs with atable lamp limit my options.
Second, is a small sub worth it? Music reproduction is the only consideration. My speakers are Infinity Kappa Floor standers rated to 50Hz. Some have stated that small subs do little to enhance the music and largely create only distortion.
Opinions?
