Synergistic Research is in the process of performing a series of acoustic measurements for the Acoustic ART System in 4 different listening rooms to be published in an open report. This report should be complete and posted by the middle to the end of November. Initial low frequency measurements are in keeping with the subjective benefits of the Synergistic Research Acoustic ART System's ability to control low frequencies in an otherwise untreated room. We are posting the following two waterfall graphs for measurements taken in a large and very live listening room with dimensions of 21 feet wide, by 32 feet long, by 22 feet high (behind the speakers), and 25 feet high behind the listening position. The floors are concrete as is the ceiling and walls are double 5/8 inch think Sheetrock. This room is ported to the rest of the space which totals 3000 sq feet. Acoustic treatments used for this measurement include the following: 4 Acoustic ART Bass Stations, 4 Magnatron Satellites, 1 Vibratron, and 1 Gravitron Satellite.
The audio system:
Digital- Esoteric SA 50 CD Player
Pre amp- Esoteric C-03 Line Stage pre-amplifier
Amplifier: A03 Class A stereo amplifier
AC Conditioning: Synergistic Research Tesla PowerCell 10 SE
Cabling: Synergistic Research TESLA and Synergistic Research Galileo reference cables.
Speakers- YG Acoustics Anat Reference II
Measurement System:
Microphone- Beyer dynamic MM1 (upgraded in later tests due in November)
db Meter- Radio Shack SLP Model 33-4050 (upgraded in later tests due in November)
USB interface box and mic mixer- M Audio
Computer- Asus laptop running Windows XP Pro
Software- Room EQ Wizard
Microphone and db meter were mounted to a mic stand and not moved during testing.
I will post photos of the listening room and other details later this weekend. I will not enter into endless debate defending the validity of our testing procedure from people who will undoubtedly call our measurements into question- wait for the full report.
