I want to thank all the posters on the board for their enlightening opinions and insights. When I was listening to John Coltrane meets Duke Ellington last night I was reminded of just how beautiful some recordings can be if you have some good equipment. When I was debating the Arcam Solo a number of people stepped up and said "it's a great unit" and the same for the Paradigm Speakers. I have to say that when I first got the speakers it didnt sound as good as they do now but people said to give them 30 hours or so to "warm up". Well I haven't looked back at all and I am really truly able to appreciate the artistry of these excellent musicians. Thank you all for opening up the doors to wonderful world that remained hidden behind the doors of upscale hi-fi and thanks Stephen for a great magazine !!
