Like all New Yorkers who witnessed the tragedy at close quarters, 9/11 left an indelible impression on my memory.The tribute mounted by the City of New York on the first three anniversaries, of having squares of searchlights pointing at the sky, outlining the footprint of the World Trade Center, was moving.
