Hello,
I've been working on putting together an office system. The room is probably 15 x 12 with 10' ceilings.
Right now I'm using iTunes w apple lossless, a Cullen mod 4 PS Audio DL3, an Arcam A90, a pair of Paradigm Studio 20 v4s, and a Polk Audio PS-303 sub.
The sound is pretty good at moderate volume. (About 50 - 60% based on the Arcam volume meter...) But I'd like things to be more dynamic. Not just louder, but more enveloping and punchy. (When I turn it up it gets much louder but just starts hurting my ears...)
I have a Velodyne SPL-1000R coming. That should tighten up the bottom end. It's the most sub I could justify for this system. But I fear either the A90 or the Studio 20s (or both) are also going to fall short.
Thoughts of where to focus my attention?
Thanks
keith
