I'd like to go see some turntables, amps, and speakers and listen to them in Dallas, especially the North Dallas, Plano, Richardson area, as that would be most convenient for me. I really would like to deal with a store that takes analog audio seriously and that has knowledgeable staff who are willing to help me work within my means.
I had a bad experience a few years ago at one particular shop where it seemed the goal of the sales people was to sell mega-buck home theater setups, and anyone aiming at a price point under $50K was not worth their time. I don't want a repeat of that.
I guess what I really want is a recommendation for a store owned by a music lover who knows their stuff and understands that not everyone is able or willing to spend mega-bucks.
Anyone know any stores like that in the Dallas area?
