Day 1 at the NYAS: a Binaural Video Report

In this video, we join Stereophile writer Herb Reichert as he explores the 2017 New York Audio Show that took place last weekend at the Park Lane Hotel—this is the first of three videos covering the show. We're particularly excited about this series of videos for two reasons: First, viewers have eagerly been asking us to hear systems—not just see them. We've wanted to share that with viewers, but we wanted to do it right by creating a binaural recording, for playback over headphones.

New York's Audio Show Opens Friday

Just one week after Capital Audio Fest, the three-day New York Audio Show opens on Friday, November 10, in Manhattan's Park Lane Hotel. With two live references close by—the great outdoors of Central Park is just one block away, and Carnegie Hall is just one block farther in the other direction—the three-day show promises 25 or 26 active listening rooms and up to 100 brands.

Our Final Binaural Video Report from the NYAS

Here's our final report from the New York Audio Show. Thank you to everyone who watched our previous videos, all of which featured Herb Reichert (left above in JA's photo) and gave us feedback—positive and otherwise. We started making these videos as a response to feedback, and will continue monitoring feedback to help improve our future videos.
