Command Performance AV debuts the J.Sikora Aspire and Innuos Stream3 with Doshi and Joseph Audio

In addition to their showing in the Democracy room, Command Performance AV brought two US debut products to room 305: the J.Sikora Aspire turntable with the CF9 tonearm ($10,595) and the Innuos Stream3 music streamer with optional PhoenixDAC board ($12,600), which turns it into a fully fledged streaming music player.

Allied with the J.Sikora and Innuos products were an Aidas Malachite Silver MC cartridge ($7295), a Doshi Audio Evo linestage ($23,995), and a Doshi Audio Evo phono preamp ($23,995). The amplifier was also Doshi Audio, the Evo Stereo Amp ($25,995; see my review in the upcoming February issue). Jeff Joseph's Joseph Audio Pulsar2 Graphene speakers ($9999/pair) brought up the rear, as did Cardas Audio Clear cables.

Over in room 837, which was also Command AV's, the Luxman DA-07X DAC ($8995) and NT-07 network transport/streamer ($8995) combined with a Luxman L-507Z 110Wpc integrated amplifier ($10,495) and Marten Oscar Duo speakers ($11,000/pair) via Wireworld cables.

Back in room 305, the synergy was immediate: Nick Doshi's amps and Jeff Joseph's speakers—the two brands often present together at shows—created a pure acoustic environment in which the new J.Sikora Aspire turntable to truly flourish. This room easily ranking among my top five rooms at the show. The sound was searing (in a good way), palpable, and natural. Dynamics were breathtaking, tone rich in texture—a finish of satin smoothness and corduroy-friendly resolution that was ... liberating? So creamy and rich, I'm tempted to describe its mouth feel.
