I have to say that I'm a wee bit disappointed.
I haven't listened yet, but I'm already happy. I'm fighting the urge to just set the stuff up right here, right now, in my office.
Also, I made one other change when I removed the Ayre gear from my system: I switched from the Ayre–supplied and –spec'd Cardas cables to Furutech Evolutions. Incidentally, it was right around this same time that I read <a href="http://www.bluebirdmusic.com/Build_Your_System.htm">Jay Rein's essay</a> on system synergy.
I've been working on the <i>Buyer's Guide</i>. Again, I find myself getting all tangled up in the content. Goodness me. My focus shifts away from the cold cells. I lose sight of borders, completely forget about column width. And find myself wondering:

What can I say about cables?
The thing about Tuesday is that I've got my therapy session at 6pm. I spend the day processing submissions for our <i>Buyer's Guide</i>. I go through each Excel spreadsheet making sure things look the way they're supposed to. It's a tedious, generally unfulfilling, task. A task measured out in columns, rows, and cells. I have found no way to incorporate art or love. I transfer the tidied files from one folder on our server to another. Cut and paste. Control X, Control C. Kristina then collects the new file and transfers it to a Master spreadsheet. It is a strange kind of communication, this digital dance we do.
Up at 9am. No shower, no shave. Coffee. I sat down on my orange couch, opened the laptop and got to it. One more day of "Recommended Components."
You're absolutely right, Christian: I <i>do</i> have the bug. I do! I'm not ashamed to admit it, though it does come as a small surprise. Next thing you know, I'll begin to wonder silly wonders:
